We had an incredible turnout at our AGM last Saturday!

We were so lucky to be joined by over 50 members of our sangat, who came to vote on our 10-year strategy plan and membership policy.

At our Vaisakhi programme, spirits were high as our sangat took part in seva for the programme, and our committee waited in anticipation for 2026 Annual General Meeting to take place. The committee (you can view them here) have been working over several months to construct a solid 10-year strategy plan and membership policy.

Developing the 10-year strategy plan was no easy task. After countless edits and revisions by the committee, the plan went though a month-long consultation period where the sangat got the opportunity to share their thoughts and improve the document. The membership policy went though an equal amount of rigorous improvement by the committee to get a final policy that our sangat would feel proud to vote in.

Both documents were well received by the sangat, and were voted in by a huge majority! This means that we can launch our membership programme and get right into implementing our 10-year strategy!

Our strategy plan covers everything, from smaller tasks such as establishing Punjabi classes for kids to raising the funds to purchase a building that we can call our Gurdwara! It is as ambitious as it is realistic… you can read more about it here.
