Our History

The Basingstoke Sikh Society started approximately 25 years ago, it started as an informal group to bring together local Sikhs for religious and social activities. The community gradually established a more formal presence. In the past few decades, the Basingstoke Sikh Society has been an important institution for the community, providing not just religious services, but also engaging in charitable work, educational programs, and cultural preservation. The Society serves as a community hub, offering a space for people to learn about Sikhism, participate in Langar (community meal service), and support one another socially and emotionally.
